What is the advantage of giving IELTS?

There are times when you know your level of proficiency in a language, but sometimes you have to prove your level of proficiency on paper. Hence, IELTS is a test that candidates mostly prefer as it helps them to prove their English Language proficiency skills on paper because the certificate is recognized in all the universities worldwide.

The purpose of IELTS is to offer an unbiased and authentic interpretation of English language skills. Since the test covers all four sections - Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking, Language experts from Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK, and the US develop the test questions. Usually, the IELTS test covers daily life topics or, sometimes, topics related to the academic environment.
Everyone who wants to study and work abroad can take the test if they match the specific requirements. People who fall under the category of particular requirements are;

  • Those that find learning difficult in the first place
  •  Those who cannot hear properly
  • People with visual impairments
  • Individuals with some medical issue or serious health issue

If the applicant notifies the authorities at least three months before the exam, they may be entitled to special accommodations at the exam sites. Additionally, the authorities must provide their consent.

There are no IELTS eligibility requirements provided by conducting organizations like the British Council or IDP. Candidates who want to study abroad must have a basic understanding of English because most universities and educational institutions teach their curricula in English. The IELTS Exam Pattern is divided into four main sections: Speaking, Reading, Writing, and Listening. IELTS test takers are not required to have any formal education prior.
