IELTS EXAM AGE LIMIT & QUALIFICATION

A 16-year-old minimum age is needed to take the IELTS exam. Anyone who is older than 16 and from any country or background is eligible to take the IELTS exam. An exception may be made if the institution demands IELTS scores for enrolment.
IELTS can be taken by anyone, irrespective of age, gender, race, nationality, or religion.

However, the IELTS exam 2022 is not recommended for those under 16 years of age.
To pass the IELTS exam, you need a minimum overall score of 6.5, with a minimum score of 6.0 in each category for the Academic test. Minimum accepted scores vary depending on the institution's requirements.
A student must have passed the 12th grade.
IELTS Academic: To enrol in an academic program in a country where English is the medium of instruction and communication.
IELTS General Training: For work/work-related training or to relocate to an English-speaking nation.
