Know the difference
Two different organizations handle the administration of the IELTS and TOEFL exams. IDP India manages the IELTS exam, whereas the Educational Testing and Assessment Institution administers the TOEFL.
The exam pattern of both tests varies. A student is assessed on the basis of his Reading, Listening, Writing, and Speaking. The exam duration for IELTS is 2 hours 45 minutes and TOEFL is 3 hours 15 minutes.

Paper and online are the test-taking methods of the IELTS test whereas it is online only for TOEFL. The IELTS result is announced on the 13th day from Test and TOEFL result is announced on the 10th day.
