IELTS Syllabus 2023 (Sections Wise)

The IELTS exam consists of four components: listening, reading, writing, and speaking. The listening and speaking components are the same for both the Academic and General Training versions of the exam, others differ slightly.
Listening
Candidates must show their understanding of various dialects and linguistic nuances while listening to a variety of spoken materials, including monologues and conversations, throughout the listening portion of the exam.
Writing
In this component, you are required to demonstrate your ability to write in an academic or general context, depending on the version of the exam. The writing component consists of two tasks report/letter writing and an essay.
Reading
Candidates must demonstrate their understanding of the main ideas and precise details in a variety of written texts, including academic and non-academic materials, as part of the reading component of the exam.
Speaking
You are required to demonstrate your ability to communicate in a variety of spoken contexts. The speaking component consists of three parts introductory questions, monologue with a cue, and discussion-based cross-questions.
