The candidates are required to respond in writing to the statement presented in the essay. To produce a strong essay on test day, candidates must prepare all of the different types of questions.
The most common IELTS Task 2 Writing topics and essay question types are listed in the next slides.
Regardless of the response, a rationale must be provided, such as why they agree with the statement if they do. The essay should explain why the reader should agree with each statement.
Agree/Disagree Essay
Candidates must write an essay in this situation that includes both benefits and drawbacks; they are not allowed to express a viewpoint or be reasonable. It will be educational.
Advantages and Disadvantages Essays
The question will state a problem, and applicants will need to provide the likely causes and motivations for the problems. The justifications must be pertinent.
Cause (Reasons) and Solutions Essay
One sentence is followed by two distinct questions. The questions could or might not be related.
Two Questions (Double Questions) essay
An IELTS discussion essay question will begin with a statement that presents two competing viewpoints. Then, you'll be required to discuss both arguments and offer your own viewpoint at times.
Discussion Essays
There is a range of topics covered under it like Language and culture, health, law, education, technology, communication, art and design.
