OET or IELTS: How to choose the Right exam for you

The IELTS and the OET are both language proficiency tests; IELTS questions are general and could be on any topic, whereas the OET is only meant for healthcare professionals. Let's find out how to choose a right exam.
Which is easier, IELTS or OET?
OET is generally easier for healthcare professionals as they are more comfortable with the information. However, both are language proficiency tests, so you need strong English skills.
Topic-specific
OET evaluates each of the four language skills listening, writing, reading, and speaking, focusing on the healthcare sector.

IELTS also evaluates the four skills, but there could be any topic, including healthcare.

Versions
IELTS only has two versions, whereas OET has 12.
Scoring
The score for IELTS is on a scale from 1 to 9. For OET, it is a grade given from A(highest) to E(lowest).
Requirements:
Always confirm the requirements of the score and test from the university or college you are applying to, as the requirements can differ.
