SBI Education Loan Eligibility

This is a term loan given to Indian citizens who wish to pursue higher education in India or abroad after being admitted.
• UG, PG including technical and professional Degree/Diploma programmes offered by colleges and institutions that have been accredited by the UGC, AICTE, IMC, and govt.
1. Courses Covered
• Courses in teacher training or nursing that the state or federal government has approved.
• Regular degree or diploma programmes in fields including aviation, pilot training, and shipping that have been certified by the relevant regulatory authority.
• Professional and technical graduate programmes, as well as postgraduate programmes and diplomas, focused on the jobs.

2. Courses Covered(Abroad)
• Courses offered by the CPA (Certified Public Accountant) in the United States, the CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) in London, etc.
• Courses in medicine: up to Rs. 30 lacs
3. Loan Amount(India)
• Other Courses: Up to Rs 10 Lacs (A higher loan limit for studying in India may be taken into consideration on a case-by-case basis, with a maximum of Rs 50 Lacs)
• Up to Rs. 7.50 Lacs (Under the Global Ed-vantage Scheme, higher loan limits for studies overseas are taken into consideration, with a maximum of Rs. 1.50 crores)
4. Loan Amount(Abroad)
• Fee payable to college/institute.
• Exam/Library/Lab Fee
• Purchase of Books/Equipment/Computer etc.
• Travel expenses
• Expenses of a two-wheeler up to Rs. 50,000.
• Misc. expenses.
